In 1911, my 2x great-grandparents Frank and Catherine Toms received several gifts from the community on the occasion of their leaving Euroka Station, in outback New South Wales. One gift was a silver teapot. It was passed on to my grandmother, then my aunt, who gave it to me. I’m really happy to be the custodian of this family heirloom.

The teapot is now 115 years’ old and its inscription says: To Mr and Mrs Toms as a Token of Appreciation from Bimbi Friends 21.2.1911. It’s about 15 cm high and 14 cm wide, weighs approximately 550 grams, and has a hinged lid. There’s also a stamped mark on its base: E969.
