Celebrating family creativity

Creativity is the ability to produce or use original and unusual ideas, or to make something new or imaginative.

Creativity often runs in families, and it’s certainly true for mine. I have my own creative streak, and my parents, siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and great-aunts, grandparents, and great-grandparents have all demonstrated creativity through various means.

There’s music and performance, textile art, painting, dioramas, trench art, fashion design, and other art forms. One of the best ways to showcase some of this family talent is through a gallery (click on the first image to enlarge it, then scroll through the rest of the gallery).

A couple of my cousins have small businesses using their creativity, too. Check them out at Wild Enchanted, The Human Chameleon, Bordoni Sport, and Ashleigh Chapman Music on Instagram and Facebook.

I hope you enjoy the tour, and I’d love it if you’d leave comment about anything that piques your interest, a favourite piece of art, or simple appreciation for what you see.

The video below features one of my cousins, and shows augmented reality being used to create digitally-enhanced fashion.
